Keep a Boss Mentality

You can be eight years old in a trailer park in Wisconsin and be a boss! You can be in a new city, have no friends, no job, five dollars to your name and still be a boss! You can be a stripper in a strip club and still be a boss! You can be driving around in a brand new Benz with 500,000 in your bank account and still be a bum! You can actually be the boss at your job, and still be a bum! Confused? Well it is simple. Being a boss has to do with your mentality not your situation.

So many people have multiple blessings that they have been given, but have no idea on how to capitalize on them. Yet, there are also the people that have nothing, and no one to help, but they have the ability to turn that nothing into something. The latter of the two is a boss! A boss is someone that will work there butts off day in and day out to get what they need to live. The people that are blessed to be born into wealthy families are sometimes looked at as bosses, but do not let their possessions trick you. Because cars, bags, shoes, and all the finer things in life are just symbols of a boss, not to be confused with the actual boss. A billionaire can go pick a crack head up off the street, take her shopping, buy her a car, go get her hair and nails done, and as much as she may look like a boss, she is still a crack head!

A boss is someone that knows anything and everything comes at a cost, and most times in this life that cost is their time, their energy. A boss can see the bigger picture and does not let their current position affect their future one. They demand respect, while still being respectful. They lead others to be their better selves.  They can see the light in the darkness, and they see the lessons in a failure. They get up eight times when knocked down seven. They move forward, they pursue their dreams, and they strive to reach the farthest limits of their god given potential!

A boss will posses all the material symbolisms of a boss (the cars, houses, clothes, etc.) if they wish too, but that is not every bosses plan. Next time you start to treat a person with a Louis bag better than someone with a purse from Ross, you may want to think twice. The second women may not have a Louis (yet) but she may have been the one who actually bought her bag, and did not have to do some scandalous deed to get it!

Just some food for thought, because I love to eat!
